Train Line to be extended to Baxter

Council issues $60,000 in business grants

Frankston City Council has awarded $60,000 to accelerate the growth of five local businesses through its 2017 Small Business Grants Program. Collectively, this year’s five grant recipients are expected to generate up to 148 new jobs within Frankston City. The Program, now in its fifth year, has contributed a total of $300,000 towards supporting 25 local businesses. Most grant recipients have gone on to prosper, with collective employment generation expected to reach over 400 during the next 12-18 months, equating to a one per cent increase in the number of jobs in Frankston City.
