With Carrum Downs listed among Melbourne’s most affordable suburbs, it is little wonder that many properties in the suburb are snapped up within a week. Local agents said affordable prices and being located next door to more expensive beachside suburbs was leading to strong demand, especially from young families seeking their first home. Almost 100 per cent of Frankston home sales result in profits, new report reveals

Nearly 98 per cent of established properties in Frankston sold in the three months to March have done so at a profit for the seller. The strength of the municipality’s property market placed it seventh among Melbourne regions for the highest proportion of profit-making sales during that period, according to a CoreLogic Pain and Gain report.
